Our company, Goldfinger porcelain, is also involved in the production of replicas of artifacts from the beginning of the 20th century created in the unique style of Czech Cubism.
The video records the process of making a replica of a unique jar by the author Pavel Janák from the collections of the Moravian Gallery. In order to preserve the exact dimensions of the replica and also due to possible complications with the loan of a rare collection item, a scan in the depository was chosen. The data was digitally edited, the model was printed on a 3D printer, and then a plaster mold was made by hand using the traditional method, the jar was cast from porcelain, retouched, glazed, fired, decorated, and the resulting product, a replica of the jar, was delivered for sale in the MG museum artshop.
